Standing in about half an acre of rough lawned garden, surrounded by fields and cliffland between Bude and Crackington Haven, Cancleave is one mile from the beach at Millook. It looks across Bude Bay and as far as Lundy Island (on a clear day)

Local Information

1 mile from beach at Millook, 2 miles from Widemouth Bay, 6 miles from Bude and 3 miles from Crackington Haven. From the field outside a public footpath (strictly for the young and agile) winds down the cliff to the deserted stretch of pebble beach called Cancleave Strand. The coastal footpath passes by the cottage. It has magnificent sea views across Bude and Widemouth Bays as far as Lundy Island on a clear day.
