Situated in the spectacular Highlands of Scotland, 2 miles from the village of Killin on Wester Lix Farm. The Steading is over two hundred years old and was once a farm building at Wester Lix Farm.
This interesting old property sleeps 8+ and has been converted from the original building to offer a greater degree of comfortable accommodation for larger groups.

Bedrooms
3 of the bedrooms are on the ground floor . On the first floor there is a double bedded room with semi en suite bathroom. Of the 4 bedrooms one offers a standard double bed, 2 offer 2 singles each and the 4th offers 2 standard singles that will convert to a king size double bed. This is in recognition that groups can comprise of both singles and/or couples so ideally some flexibility is required
Living Rooms
A long feature lounge and dining area are located upstairs. The lounge benefits from large windows allowing a maximum of daylight. There is a feature wood burning stove for those cold Scottish winters, plus of course a TV and video is provided.
Kitchen
The Kitchen is situated on an intermediate floor and benefits from plenty of cupboard space — triple bowl sink, a large gas cooking range with 8 top plate rings, 2 normall & 1 grill oven. The equuipment includes a fridge/freezer, microwave, 2 X toasters, kettle plus adequate bowls, plates and pans for the maximum number of guests. A washer/dryer is located in the ground floor utility room.
Cleaning & Linen
All bedding is provided, but you must bring your own towels.

Local Information
Most local shopping and eating outlets are located in the nearby village of Killin which is just over 2 miles away. It offeres a varied range of shops including grocery stores. There is a Post Office and various pubs and restaurants including The Coach House, Box O'Bananas and The Shoes.
Leisure Facilities
You can hire mountain bikes, canoes and skiing kit at the Killin Outdoor Centre. It also supplies a range of outdoor clothing maps and guides for activities within the area.
