Heather Cottage is approximately 8 years old and was built on the site of an old farm workshop. A traditional 2 storey building. Situated in the spectacular Highlands of Scotland.

The master bedroom with double bewd has an ensuite bathroom. There are 2 further bedrooms, one with twin beds and one with adult sized bunks. Double or single futon beds can also be supplied.

Ensuite to master bedroom and a family bathroom with shower on the ground floor.

The lounge offers double aspect views over our private Lochan. A TV with video recorder is supplied and a limited range of videos for both the young and old are available for rental on the Wester Lix site.

The kitchen diner is open plan, spacious and offers electric oven and hob, fridge freezer, microwave and washing machine. The kitchen is supplied with a full set of cooking utensils, saucepans, wok and equipment for 6/8 people.

All bedding is provided, but you must bring your own towels.

Wester Lix can provide connection to their computer network offering ISDN access to the Internet. Children & Pets Most welcome.

Wester Lix is a small collection of cottages 2 miles from Killin. It is set within 9 acres of private grounds and is less than 2 hours drive from Glasgow or Edinburgh. 500 yards away from the access road is the Lix Toll Garage that supplies petrol, sweets, breakdown recovery and cuddly Scotsman toys. The village of Killin offers a varied range of shops, The Killin Outdoor Centre supplies a full range of outdoor clothing, maps and guides. Most shops are open 7 days a week in the High season and the local Co-op opens 7 days throughout the year — till 10pm most of the year. The local Post Office supplies camera films and offers a next day processing service. There are various pubs and restaurants in the village from the snug to the more formal. The Coach House towards the far end of town specialise in local bands to compliment excellent food. Take a look at the BoxO'Bananas and The Shoes. The fish & chippy van is in the car park of the village hall and has a varied menu including Haggis.

Private Lochan fed from the burn that runs through the site. You can hire mountain bikes, canoes and skiing kit from The Killin Outdoor Centre.
