Local Information
The house overlooks the famous St Enodoc Golf Course with two 18 hole courses and its historic church — resting place of the Poet Laureate Sir John Betjeman. Polzeath is a surfing centre with a surfing school. Rock is only a short drive with its sailing club, water skiing and ferry to Padstow, home of Rick Steins Seafood and other Restaurants.
From Padstow the Camel Trail takes walkers, bird watchers and cyclists (Cycles can be hired) up the old railway track running alongside the estuary to wadenbridge and on to Bodmin. Trebetherick is an ideal location from which to explore Cornwall. Its National Trust cliff walks and properties such as Lanhydrock, The Lost Gardens of Heligan, The eden Project, St Ives and even the Scilly Isles.
There is good eating and drinking at amongst others — St Kew and Port Isaac, also for pottery. There are many other attractions for all ages. There is a Post Office & small shop within 3 minutes walk and a variety of shops including a mini supermarket in Polzeath and Rock.
Booking Notes
Electricity, central heating in the winter and local telephone calls are included in the rent. Visitors must bring duvet covers, pillowcases and towels, but these can be hired locally. There are contract cleaners available. Pets only by arrangement. Friday is changeover day.
