Casa Paradis is a stylish 4 bedroom house with private garden, just minutes from the beach, restaurants, shops, marina and citadel. Ideal for families and groups of friends alike, no car is necessary. Light, spacious and airy, and furnished in a modern, contemporary style, the house is very well-equipped and comfortably sleeps up to 8 (2 doubles, 2 twins). Calvi is arguably Corsica's most beautiful town, with its Genoese citadel, birthplace of Christopher Columbus, perched on the southern tip of a crescent-shaped bay backed with snowcapped mountains. One of the main attractions is the 6km gently-shelving sandy beach, which curves around the bay. The cobbled streets of the lower old town are lined with boutiques and delis, while the waterfront marina offers an enticing choice of restaurants and bars. There are plenty of activities available, including sailing, watersports, hiking, horseriding and diving. There are plenty of opportunities for daytrips by boat, train or car.

Bedrooms
All four bedrooms are tastefully furnished with comfortable beds, ceiling fans, clapperboard wardrobes, mirrors, teak bedside tables and lights. There is one double bedroom on the ground floor, and one double and two twins on the first floor.
Bathrooms
The large family bathroom has a full-length bath and separate shower cubicle, two sinks, hairdryer and storage. The second bathroom has a shower cubicle, sink, hairdryer and storage. There are two separate toilets, one on each floor.
Living Rooms
The large living/dining room has three comfortable sofas, an open fireplace and a traditional wooden dining table with seating for 8. Entertainment provided includes English Language (Sky Free-to-Air) and French satellite tv, dvd player, cd stereo, telephone, free WiFi adsl, books and boardgames.
Kitchen
Modern and very well-equipped with quality appliances and utensils, including Smeg range oven, fridge/freezer, Bosch washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, coffee machine, kettle, quality sharp knives, picnic set, coolbox, plenty of plates, glasses, dishes, saucepans etc. There is also a mosaic table and chairs.
Cleaning & Linen
The price includes a weekly change of bed linen and towels, free local calls and WiFi connection, and all utilities.
Accomodation Notes
We have had children of all ages stay at the house and can provide cots, highchairs and a pushchair. We can also arrange for an English-speaking babysitter on request.
Outside
The private walled patio garden has a central mulberry tree that provides a natural parasol that is perfect for dining alfresco in the shade. There is a Weber barbecue and a dining table with 8 chairs. There are steps leading up to the front door. There is free on-street parking and a car park nearby.
Further Details
There are direct flights from various UK airports on a Sunday to both Calvi airport (7km) and Bastia airport (92 km/57 miles). Alternatively fly via Nice, or get the ferry from Nice. Please see our website for full travel information.
Local Information
Calvi is situated on the north west coast of the beautiful Mediterranean island of Corsica. The Genoese citadel, birthplace of Christopher Columbus, is perched on the southern tip of Calvi's crescent-shaped bay, lined with a beautiful sandy beach and backed by snowcapped mountains. Tempting restaurants and cafes line the waterfront, or browse the boutiques and delis along the cobbled streets. Food and wine is excellent, and there is plenty to see and do to suit all ages and tastes.

Booking Notes
The price includes a weekly change of linen and towels, free local calls and WiFi wireless adsl, and all utilities. Payment is accepted by bank transfer in euros. A non refundable deposit of 25% is payable on booking and the balance is due 8 weeks before your arrival. We also require a deposit on arrival of €300 which we hold against breakages and damage. This will be returned to you prior to your departure. You are strongly advised to take out travel insurance.
Changeover day
Changeover day is Sunday. The house will be available from 15:00 and we ask all departing guests to vacate the house by 10:00.
