L'Amandier is set in a secluded corner of the owners' garden, which abounds with cherry, apricot and other fruit trees. Facing vineyards and open countryside rising towards the Plateau of Vaucluse, it is conveniently close to the centre of the pretty Provencal village of Saint Didier. This well-appointed cottage sleeps two people. It comprises three rooms. The village of St Didier is a gem - vibrant market on Monday and local shops , restaurants within a few minutes walk.

The cottage has its own separate gated entrance with private parking. Shaded by a beautiful cherry tree the garden offers a fixed barbecue, garden furniture (Table, 4 chairs, sun beds)on the terrace. The shady terrace looks out onto a garden of flowers, shrubs and fruit trees (almonds, figs, cherries, apples, pears, plums). Enclosed by natural stone walls and trees, the garden affords a relaxing refuge for guests.

The cottage is fully heated for the cooler seasons.
Linen and towels are provided.
From the garden, fresh fruit, vegetables, and home-made produce are available for purchase.

It is just a two minutes' stroll into the lively centre of the village, boasting no less than 3 boulangeries, 2 épiceries (grocer's),boucherie/traiteur (butcher's), tabac, maison de la presse (newsagent), La Poste, and even 3 coiffeurs (hairdressers). There are 2 restaurants and 3 cafés which also serve lunchtime snacks or a menu du jour. Saint Didier is a thriving village based on agriculture.fruit trees, notably cherries and apricots, and vines, producing wines within the appellation of Ventoux and delicious Muscat grapes for the table. It is justly famous for its locally-made nougat. Gourmands will appreciate the region's bountiful truffes, Carpentras being an important market for this sought-after fungus known as "black diamonds".
