Adjoining the covered terrace, a lawned garden with Mullberry trees offering shade. Garden table, chairs, sunshade for alfresco dining and lounger's are provided. There is a large barbecue for the exclusive use for the visitors. The house is south facing so enjoys the sunshine from the moment it rises over the mountain until it sets behind another.

Further Details

The apartment is on the ground floor and has its own private entrance and has ample off road private parking. The British owners who live full time at the house can offer help and information about the area and places to visit. The owners have their own separate entrance and part of the garden ensuring privacy for their visitor's. Cat friendly visitor's needed.

Local Information

Sahorre offers its visitor's local shops (Butchers/Presse/Tabac, Boulangerie, Gen. Store, Cave with local wine/honey/apple juice and adjoining Pottery, Post Office, Mining Museum) all within walking distance of the apartment. A 5 min. drive takes you to the small beautiful Spa town of Vernet les Bain which provides a local supermarket, Thermal Baths, Casino, Night Club, Pharmacy, Restaurants, public swimming baths, and with 3 market days a week. Attend any of the local fete's — some of which go on to the very early hours. Within a 10 min. drive, visitors can visit Villefranche, an 11c-15c fortified village with its numerous shops and restaurants, or catch 'Le Petit Jeune' (Little Yellow Train) and ride up the Tet valley through spectacular gorges to Mount Louis and the high plain of the Cerdagne. Another 5 min. an visit Prades (famous for its Pablo Casals music festival (throughout August) with its large weekly market offering local produce. Visit the hilltop abbeys of St. Martin and Serrabonne or swim or windsurf in the river lake at Vinca. Further a field (40 mins. to 1˝hrs.) the regions capitol — Perpignan waits with its beautiful cloistered shopping and summer festival events (Thursday evenings), the Mediterranean beaches of Canet, St-Cyprien and Argeles await, picturesque fishing villages such as Collioure and Banyuls invite artists, the fish market in Porte Vendres offers numerous quayside restaurants — enjoy a 'fruit de mer'. Visit Spain (Costa Brava — Gerona — Barcelona), the Dahli museum or drive to Andorre for tax-free shopping. The area holds many more attractions, including water parks, mounting walking, fishing for brown trout in mountain rivers, horse riding, walking, cycling, 4x4 trips up the Canigou; as well as many other secret places and drives for visitor's to discover.
