Located in Puglia, "the sundrenched heel of Southern Italy" and often described as the 'undiscovered Italy' or the 'next Tuscany', is this beautiful stone built traditional Puglian "trullo", having undergone full restoration in the Spring of 2006. A "trullo" is a stone built house with conical roofs and these are unique to this area of Puglia. This example is situated within its own grounds extending to over 6000sqm with an abundance of various fruit and nut trees. The property is located within a quiet tranquil country lane and is an ideal base from which to visit all the local attractions and fantastic beaches Puglia has to offer. The trullo is approached via a gravel driveway and accommodation comprises of a lounge area (with sofabed for parties of 3-4 persons on request), adjoining traditional 'muratura' corner kitchen, 'alcove' bedroom and bathroom. To the front of the trullo is a good sized patio area with outside pizza oven.

Bedrooms
The 'alcove' bedroom has a lovely exposed natural stone ceiling, a double glazed traditional style wooden window with internal shutters and roll down mosquito net, providing an outlook over the front garden, a wicker chest of drawers and a double hanging rail.
Bathrooms
With a suite comprising of a shower cubicle, porcelain wash basin sat on a marble plinth, wc and bidet. Natural stone vaulted ceiling and a double glazed traditional style wooden window to the rear with internal shutters and roll down mosquito net.
Living Rooms
Set beneath the main exposed natural stone cone, with a sofabed.
Kitchen
A traditional 'muratura' style corner kitchen made in marble with built-in electric oven with 4-ring gas hob over, refridgerator, and a porcelain sink with antique style mixer tap. The kitchen area is set beneath a natural stone cone.
Cleaning & Linen
Towels and linen are provided and the property is cleaned once per week as standard. However additional maid service can be provided if required at an agreed additional charge.
Outside
The trullo stands within its own grounds, enclosed by low dry-stone walls, of over 6000sqm and has a patio area to the front with outside pizza oven and garden furniture. The garden has an abundance of fruit and nut trees, including cherries, plums, apples, pears, figs, almonds, hazelnuts, sweet chestnuts and walnut, and guests are welcome to sample fruits in season during their stay. A gravel driveway leads from the road to the trullo and the parking area also provides ample parking for 2 or 3 vehicles.

Local Information
This part of Puglia is home of the "trulli", houses built of stone with conical roofs which are unique to this area. Their origins still remain a mystery. The unspoilt Pugliese landscape is largely made up of vineyards, olive groves, fruit orchards and small meticulously planted farms which together with the neat stone trulli and low stone walls all combine to create the atmosphere of a storybook.
Leisure Facilities
The trullo is situated centrally between the Adriatic Coast and the Ionian Coast and both can be reached within approximately 30km, giving easy access to reputedly some of the best beaches in Italy.

Booking Notes
A deposit of 30% of the total holiday cost is payable within 2 weeks of booking being made, the remaining 70% to be paid at least 14 days prior to holiday commencement. If booking is made 14 days or less from holiday date the full holiday cost is payable immediately. Payment to be made in sterling to our UK bank account.
