Bedrooms

1 Ground floor bedroom with double bed and child’s travel cot. 1 First floor double bedroom with cot. 1 First floor bedroom with two single beds and a further folding bed. Additional double sofa bed in living room. With the two cots the property will accomodate up to 11 persons.

Bathrooms

Each bedroom has en-suite facilities and is equipped with shower, wash handbasin and toilet

Living Rooms

The living room is tasefully furnished with two settees (one of which is a bed settee) and two comfortable easy chairs. For the cooler evenings early and late season the living room is equipped with a woodburning stove. There are rugs, ornaments and pictures which contribute to the general ambience of the house and a small library with a range of reading materials including travel guides and brochures. There is also a dvd player.

Kitchen

Large tiled floor dining/kitchen with large table and seating for 8 to 10 Child’s high chair. Well equipped with hob, oven, microwave, slow cooker, fridge with small freezer, stainless sink , washing machine , toaster and iron. Electric water heating. Ample work surface pots, pans, crockery, glasses etc. Room fans. Access to rear garden for alfresco dining

Cleaning & Linen

Linen and towels provided (discount of 5% if you provide your own but please let us know on booking). Please note that we do not supply bedding for the two cots. Please see website for further information.

No pets or smoking inside the house at any time please.

Wheelchair Access

Wheelchair access is via the rear garden door from the kitchen. Please note that there is a small step (approx. 100cm) from the kitchen into the living room.

Outside

Ample parking. Gardens front and rear, latter often with views of Pyrenees. Outdoor furniture provided such as dining table, chairs and sun loungers. A gas barbeque is available for outdoor cooking.

Supermarkets., shops, banks (most with ATM machines) etc. in Plaisance, Aire sur l’adour, Barcelone du Gers, Riscle and Maubourguet. Boulangerie in Madiran. Further details in House Book Food & Drink The house itself has ample facilities to prepare, cook and enjoy meals made from the local produce found in the village shops and larger supermarkets. You could easily stay at home, eating and drinking well every evening. However, the Haute Pyrenees is also full of gastomonic delights, for those who fancy travelling and those who want to stay local. On your travels you will also see many auberges and restaurants, too many to mention here. Of course the whole of France is famous for its wine and vineyards. If you look out the front door of the house you can't avoid them. Obviously there are many Caves in the area and there's nothing to stop you trying them all. Weather and Climate — Situated only one hour from the foothills of the Pyrenees, the winter months can be cool and fresh. However, the area enjoys long, mostly sunny Spring and Autumn seasons. Summers are long and hot, with pleasantly warm evenings and beautifully clear, starry night skies.(Worth taking a telescope or binoculars if you have them.) Local Information

Ample excellent restaurants in local towns and villages. Caves in Madiran, on road to Riscle, and at St. Mont. etc. Madiran wine recently described as ‘France’s best kept secret’. Many bastides or walled towns and villages, fetes, fairs and markets. Pretty villages with ancient churches, streets, covered markets, chateaux etc

Leisure Facilities

Seasonal swimming pools in Plaisance, Riscle, Madiran and Maubourguet. Lakes for swimming and boating with floating restaurants between Plaisance and Marciac. Pyrenees approx 60 mins. Cauteret for skiing and snowboarding in season approx 80mins. Golf in Pau. Ideal area for walking, cycling, bird watching and chilling out. Biarritz (Atlantic coast), Bordeaux and Toulouse approx. 2hrs. Med., Carcassone, Perpignan approx 3 hrs. Auch approx. 60 mins. Tarbes and Pau (incl airport) approx 40 mins. Tour de France June/July in Pyrenees. Spain/Andorra approx 3 hrs Situated in the heart of the Haute Pyrenees, Le Luc is ideally placed as a base for enjoying a wide range of activities, suitable for all ages. Although there are a considerable number of local activities, the house is also approximately 90 minutes drive to the Pyrenees and for those wishing to travel further afield you can reach the Mediterranean in about 3 to 4 hours. Low season:400GBP; High Season: 600GBP. Key deposit 250GBP (returnable subject to conditions.) Rates quoted are per week. House self-catering. Bookings made within 6 weeks of arrival full amount required plus key deposit.

Changeover day

Changeover day….Bookings normally made Saturday 16.00hrs. to Saturday 10.00hrs. to enable cleaning to take place. Late departure may incur loss of some deposit.
