At the end of a tree lined drive, Moulin de Samaran is 4.5 kms from L'Isle-en-Dodon. Substantially re-built in its original style during the 1990s and dating back to 1728, the watermill on the banks of the River Save and straddling its mill leat, is surrounded by a small formal garden and 18 acres of park and woodland which constitute its river island. Comprising 3 gites, sun terrace and poolhouse the Moulin de Samaran is the place on which to close the door on the rest of the world and relax KNOOPS COTTAGE is attached to the rear of the mill building and with its high beamed ceiling, the cottage has a mountain chalet feel and is entered via a gravel path from the main drive, with steps down to the terrace and garden. The terrace,table, chairs and barbecue are ready for al fresco dining, together with deckchairs for use in the cottage garden which overlooks the mill pond. The front door leads to the main reception room and kitchen, the bedrooms via a galleried landing

Both the double bedroom and the twin bedded room have views over the garden

The bathroom has a full size bath with a hand held shower. Also there is a separate shower cabinet.

The main reception room is divided from the kitchen by a built-in dining counter. There is a inset fire for the colder evenings, together with television with both English and German satellite TV, DVD and VHS player. There is also a CD player and radio.

The kitchen is fully equipped with gas hob, grill oven, microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator and double sink

All linen and towels are included and changed weekly.

The cottage has its own private patio and woodland garden. The terrace has a large table and chairs for al freso dining, together with its own barbecue.

L'Isle-en-Dodon has a good range of supermarkets, greengrocers, banks, chemists, bars and small restaurants Market day is Saturday
