Bedrooms

Choose from 6 stunning bedrooms (sleeping a maximum of 14 people)...The ground floor bedroom and private bathroom are accessible to wheelchairs. All rooms sleep a minimum of 2 people, the largest of which sleeps 3-4.

Bathrooms

All 5 bathrooms are private to the bedrooms — all have showers, wc, washbasins and one has a bath. The ground-floor large private bathroom is accessible to wheelchairs.

Living Rooms

Adjoining the kitchen is the comfortable lounge, where guests can look out onto the peaceful Limousin countryside. There is satellite television and a DVD player (with the use of our DVD collection). Both of the sofas can also be converted into comfortable beds. There is also a wood-burning stove — great for reading a book in front of on a chilly winters' evening.

Kitchen

The large, open-plan kitchen is fully equipped to meet all of your culinary needs. You will find a big gas oven and hob — useful for large groups who wish to cook and eat their food together. There are also all of the other utensils / facilities that you would expect to find in a modern kitchen — dishwasher, microwave, fridge/freezer, kettle, toaster, ample amounts of crockery, pots and pans...

We are definitely a 'family-friendly' accommodation and can provide lots of items to make your stay a more comfortable one. Please enquire anytime about what you might need.

Cleaning & Linen

We are happy to provide towels and linen, free of charge. For stays of over 1 week, we offer a complimentary linen and towel change.

Accomodation Notes

We only use environmentally friendly cleaning products. All visitors are informed that the entire house is non-smoking.

Wheelchair Access

The ground-floor bedroom and private bathroom are accessible to wheelchairs. Because of the narrow corridor leading to the back garden, we have enlarged all doorways, fitted french windows and made a ramp to enable our disabled guests to reach the terrace. Please contact Anna at anna@vacvertes.com for any queries about disabled access.

Outside

The large, private garden is great for families with children or for friends to enjoy dinner 'out on the terrace'. There is a huge dining table, comfy recliners and barbecue. The views out onto the open countryside are lovely and really set the scene for a relaxing holiday in France.

Residential Course Programme

We feel that the Limousin is the perfect base from which to run courses that focus on the environment. Not only are we surrounded by beautiful countryside but also by many communities who, to some degree, really do 'live off the land'. Small-scale farming is predominant in our area and peoples' lives are dictated by true seasons.

By celebrating our environment in some way, we aim to inspire and encourage learning in a relaxed and informal atmosphere. Although each course has a daily structure, we like to tailor the programme to the interests of our participants — if you have a specific interest or burning question related to the course title, we will be more than happy to adapt the course content to suit your needs.

Course fees are based on 2 people sharing (in either twin or double rooms) All tutoring All tools Evening meals at Vacances Vertes les Belles (one evening meal will be taken at a local restaurant). Four-course meals of traditional Limousin / French dishes. Wine and aperitifs included Picnic / buffet lunches (e.g. delicious organic salads, bread, locally-made pate, quiches...) Distances

We are close to Limoges (just 30 minutes away) and the airport is only 45 minutes. The beautiful Lake Vassiviere is also only 45 minutes away and is a very popular tourist destination for Europeans.

Leisure Facilities

This beautiful village rental is situated in the picturesque village of St Germain les Belles, just 30 minutes south of the city of Limoges — the village has some great local shops, restaurants and a family-friendly swimming lake (with bar and restaurant – a really lively place to be in summer!) Limousin has been called the 'French Lake District' and will offer you some of the most unspoilt, natural landscapes in France. You are never far from a lake or the huge network of meandering country walks across rolling hills and forests – come and experience a slower pace of life and true, rural French culture.

Booking Notes

We ask for a 25% deposit for all bookings and that full payment is received 8 weeks prior to your arrival date. If you make a booking with less than 8 weeks to go, please send payment as soon as possible. We accept: French cheques in euros UK sterling cheques — a small charge of 5% will be added International bank transfer Banker's euro cheques (please enquire at your bank)
