(Reference:643)
Well-equipped and tastefully decorated traditional Limousin village house, St Germain les Belles. A short walk to village shops, restaurants and sandy swimming beach. Gorgeous countryside views from the large private garden and dining terrace. 30 minutes south of Limoges. Sleeping a maximum of 14 people, 6 bedrooms and 5 ensuite bathrooms. Ground-floor wheelchair access. Free wifi internet connection and laptop available for your use. http://www.vacvertes.com

There are 6 bedrooms containing a total of 13 single beds. These beds can be moved around to suit our customers. 5 of the bedrooms have private ensuite bathrooms. For guests who use a wheelchair, we have a ground-floor accessible bedroom and bathroom and have enlarged doorways and created a wheelchair ramp onto the terrace.

All 5 bathrooms are private to the bedrooms — all have showers, wc, washbasins and one has a bath. The ground-floor large private bathroom is accessible to wheelchairs.

There is a large but cosy lounge, with 2 convertible double sofa beds, collection of reading material, satellite TV, free wifi internet connection (plus laptop computer), DVD player and DVD library. There is also a wood-burning stove for those chilly evenings.

Adjoining the lounge, is the large kitchen. We love this big, open-plan space... There is a huge kitchen table / benches and the kitchen offers you everything you might find in your own house.. Dishwasher, microwave, fridge-freezer, coffee maker, big cooker, toaster, loads of tasteful white crockery...

All linen, towels, electricity, wood for the stove and heating are included in the price of the rental — every room has central heating and double-glazing, making this a fantastic holiday destination in winter too! Depending on the season, we enjoy providing free organic vegetables and free-range eggs from our own small-holding, just up the road. We can also arrange tasty home-cooked meals to be delivered right to your doorstep – just ask for more details. This convenient service is really appreciated by families with young children.

We are happy to provide towels and linen, free of charge. For stays of over 1 week, we offer a complimentary linen and towel change.

We also try and be as child-friendly as possible – we can provide useful items that will help you to enjoy your stay e.g. cots, toys, baby bath, stair gate, high chair... Just make sure you ask when booking.

The ground-floor bedroom and private bathroom are accessible to wheelchairs. Because of the narrow corridor leading to the back garden, we have enlarged all doorways, fitted french windows and made a ramp to enable our disabled guests to reach the terrace. Please contact Anna at anna@vacvertes.com for any queries about disabled access.

Although the house is in the heart of the village, you will have the best of both worlds, as once you step out of the back door, the peaceful views of open countryside really make you feel like you are in a more remote spot. The attractive terrace (with barbecue) is a wonderful location for a relaxing drink or meal on a warm summer's evening. There are reclining seats, 2 large dining tables / benches and parasol if you need some more shade. The terrace leads out onto the large, private and family-friendly garden lawn and is a great spot for watching wild birds!

Simple meals from Le Petit Moulin and a great takeaway from Auberge St Roch at La Porcherie. Got to know the local shopkeepers. Highlight of the week was the Annual Festival of Les Pompiers en October! Very French!”
