Sciacca Terme is on the south west cost of Sicily. It is an ancient and peaceful town with its thermal baths and is one of the oldest towns in Sicily. Set on the edge of the Mediterranean Sea, Sciacca is a fishing port which has remained untouched by mass tourism. Ideally situated between the Greek temples of Selinunte and Agrigento for archeological excursions.

East of Sciacca there are some lovely sandy beaches, approximately 7 km away from Galati. You can also find small sheltered beaches, ideal for families. There is a beach called ‘Timpi Russi’ that is one of these quieter beaches. It is not very busy and there is no bar or loud music, but you can hire boats or pedalows. The sea at Sciacca is considered to be one of the cleanest in all Italy. A recommendation is to hire a boat for the day so you can really appreciate how beautiful the sea is around Sciacca and you can beach hop. To the west of Sciacca is Capo San Marco, a huge sweep of sandy beach which is well equipped with all facilities, including beach bars and parking. San Marco is very popular amongst the young and has a lively atmosphere specially over the weekend.
