Lochavich is a remote glen 18 miles south of Oban. The cottage offers absolute peace set in area with superb scenery and views.

Bedrooms

Upsatirs a bedroom with coombe ceilings, a double or twin beds with duvets and blankets. The velux skylight opens east to the wild garden with sounds at night of owls hunting.

Bathrooms

Off the bedroom there is a snug pine panelled bathroom with bath, washbasin, WC and an airing and hanging cupboard.

Living Rooms

The farmhouse kitchen/living room is comfortably furnished in character. There is a coal effect gas fire and radio cassette cd player.

Kitchen

A small but fully equipped kitchen area with fridge, china sinks, oil fired Rayburn cooker.A separate and shared laundry room has a washing machine and tumble dryer

ALL LINEN & TOWELS ARE INCLUDED

Outside

A door opens from the kitchen/living room onto acres of gardens and the cottage has its own small lawn and south facing terrace with garden furniture. Bikes can be stored in the barns and there is a full size ping-pong table tennis table.

Local Information

Lochavich provides absolute peace and quiet amongst stunning scenery of hills, loch & forest, yet is only 40 minutes from Oban — "The Gateway to the Isles". There are many good places to eat locally

Leisure Facilities

Lochavich is steeped in history with old drove roads and newer forestry roads providing endless walking, cycling and birdwatching opportunities. Amongst ancient oakwoods at the east of the glen the River Avich tumbles and falls through a series of pools and waterfalls down to Loch Awe. Several of the Great gardens of Argyll are nearby as are fishing, golf, watersports and ponytrekking. Oban has ferries to Mull, Iona, Coll, Tiree and Colonsay. Further afield, boat trips and cruises are available on the sea and inland. All of these are memorable.
