Situated just above the junction of the Monmouthshire Canal with the Brecon and Abergavenny Canal, Junction Cottage was built in 1814 to house the toll keeper whose job involved looking after locks, keeping the waterways and gauging the weight of the barges. A self catering holiday at Junction Cottage is ideal for small families of between 2-6 persons. The original building consisted of 3 floors, one below the towpath, a ground floor and a first floor. It was built with a semi circular frontage onto which was added a porchway and door.,
