There is a cosy traditional feel to this beautiful cottage, built of stone, with a stone tiled roof and a wealth of beams. It is comfortably furnished and superbly equipped for a relaxing holiday.

The sitting room has an inglenook fireplace with a woodburner, large oak beam over, brick lined beadoen and stone hearth, TV and radio. Telephone for incoming calls.

Well equipped kitchen, including dishwasher & microwave, dining area, walk in pantry with its original salting stone, inner back hall with washing machine, opening into the bathroom.

The cottage is ideally situated in the centre of the small village of Clyro, a mile and a half from Hay-on-Wye (famous as a "Town of Books") where the Victorian Curate and diarist Francis Kilvert lived. The cottage faces the lychgate of the church which lies between the old village pond and the small green where the local stocks once would have stood. It is one of a pair of the oldest, prettiest cottages in the village, near the shop / Post Office and local pub.
